Yves Paris is a Canadian born entrepreneur who lives in Ottawa, Canada. After graduating from the University of Ottawa with a bachelor’s degree in political science and education, Yves started his career in education in 1991. Teaching social sciences and physical education / health and fitness. Yves has developed a great passion for coaching and teaching driven athletes the fundamentals of Fitness. Known as a conditioning Sport Science & Performance athlete himself. Yves thought & coached Serge Payer as a student-athlete through his playing career, and always said “Serge strong determination to succeed was always a determining factor in Serge’s success, ...his willingness to persevere has always been unmatched. In 1995, Yves coached Serge as team captain, and brought the unassuming underdog l’Escale Highschool volleyball team to the Eastern Ontario finals. After a brief career in teaching Yves decided to follow his passion to become an entrepreneur. In 1997, Yves and his wife Nathalie opened their first Tim Hortons Restaurant in their hometown Rockland, Canada, and added four more restaurants over the following few years. Through the span of twenty years Yves employed thousands of members of his community. During those years, both Yves and Nathalie embraced the opportunity to send underprivileged kids from the Rockland area to the Tim Hortons’ Children Foundation Camp.
During those busy years managing the restaurants Yves’ athletic interests grew.
In 2014 he started CrossFit - a sport that perfectly reflects his vision for hockey players and all athletes.
This philosophy involves the stimulus of constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity with proper balance, using appropriate techniques, of nutrition and rest/sleep. Yves is coaching and advising Unlimited Sports Management Hockey athletes and prospects the importance of incorporating this philosophy in their training and daily lifestyle.
Yves participated in the CrossFit Open from 2019-2023 with a top 10 finish in 2021.
As an advisor, Yves utilizes his many life skills, and experiences to be a sound advisor to all the parents and athletes who are embracing a future in professional hockey.
